I am Devika from Boralasgamuwa. I have been suffering from loss of blood and a low Hemoglobin count since October 2007. Doctors have been giving me blood transfusions practically every week since then. They did all sorts of tests from bone marrow to Tuberculosis, but all tests were negative, yet my HB count continued to be low. The doctors could not detect the cause. Whenever I entered hospital I took my bible with me and kept on reading it and I felt an inner peace within me and felt so confident of myself. Whenever I got discharged from hospital, I attended the Wednesday Prayer Meetings and that made me so happy. However, when my illness got to me I used to become so frustrated and I hated myself. I used to get so angry with everyone around me. I just wanted to stay alone. On the 30th of January there was a word of knowledge saying that there was a person with loss of blood and that person is being healed. But unfortunately I could not come on this particular day, but my friend gave me a call and told me that the word was for me. I claimed it. From that day on my HB level has been increasing little by little. Earlier it was 5, and they had given me 17 pts of blood from Oct. to Jan 2008. In February I was recovering and on the 29th of February I went for my usual clinic and they checked the HB it had risen to 9.93. Earlier, regardless of how much blood they gave me, within 2-3 days my HB count used to drop drastically requiring me to take another blood transfusion. But now I don’t require any more transfusions because my God has done the needful. I thank and praise him because he touched my life. Now I can do my usual work better than before. God says; “Truly I say to you, if you have faith and never doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, be taken up and cast into the sea, it will be done. And what ever you ask in prayer you will receive if you have faith.” Mathew 21;21 this verse touched my heart and I believe in it….. Praise the Lord and thank you Jesus.
